Shrimp Scampi Dinner

Not knowing what to do for dinner we decided to make a simple shrimp scampi. The ingredients for this dish are almost always at hand and the shrimp can easily be replaced with chicken...
Ingredients:
•2 oz linguini noodles
•9 shrimp
•2 pats butter
•2 cloves garlic (minced)
•1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
•Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil
Procedure:
Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. Then cook the pasta according to the instructions.
While the pasta cooks, in a large frypan heat two tablespoons of olive oil on medium high heat and cook the onion and garlic until soft and fragrant, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Add the crushed red pepper and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Cook until fragrant (about a minute). Add the butter.
Once the butter has melted add another table spoon or two of olive oil and the shrimp.
Cook about three minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Mix in the cooked pasta and split between two plates.
